How to troubleshoot connection errors in MS Outlook 2.0

Background

There might be cases where users have issues of slowness in synchronization or the synchronization is not working properly even after using the recreate profile tool. These errors are mostly of error code 0x80072EE2, 0x80072ee7, 0x80072efe2ee7 and 0x80072efe

Solution

In order to solve the issue please follow the following steps:

  1. The user first check if his Windows Date and Time settings are correct.
  2. User must check if the following settings are defined correct in:
    Internet Explorer -> Tools -> Internet Options -> Connections -> Check mark on "Automatically detect settings"

  3. User run the following commands on the windows command line i.e. CMD:
    ipconfig /release
    ipconfig /flushdns
    ipconfig /renew
